A non-vintage semillon assemblage of 50/25/25% 2022/2023/2021 vintages from 1941, 1971 and 1975 plantings in Vine Vale. I love these sort of wines. They’re delicious but they get you thinking about the art of winemaking, site and season. It’s a textural, saline-edged ride with bright lemony fruit, but there’s also spice, dried honey, liminal curry leaf, curdy stuff, crushed stone and clover. Harmonious and complex – think a mash-up of white Hermitage, maybe a blanc from the Languedoc-Roussillon and the good old Barossa foothills. A ripper. 95 points – Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
