Raised on its lees without oak, the 2017 Unique Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine du Salvard is vibrant and textural. Packed with zingy citrus, lemongrass and mouth-watering apple and lychee aromas and flavours. As the prices of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé edge ever higher, this wine is a terrific value introduction to the Loire Valley.
The Delaille family has been tending vines in Cheverny, in the Loire Valley, since 1898. Their Unique Sauvignon is cropped from mature vines rooted in the sandy clay soils of Fougères-sur-Bièvre, close to the famous Château de Chenonceau.
