“The 2021er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett offers a superbly appealing and hugely complex nose of lily flowers, lozenge, fine spices, thyme, rosemary, spearmint, almond, and cassis, all wrapped in great minty smoke. The wine is superbly playful on the palate, where there are refined flavors of vineyard peach, orange blossom, and almond cream. It proves airy and light-footed. The finish is very delicate and pure. What a great Kabinett in the making. 2029-2041” 94 points, Jean Fisch and David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines
“Smoke and reduction still cloud the nose of the 2021 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett, but golden, aromatic, textured fruit somehow combines pink grapefruit and russet pear peel, golden Mirabelle and lime. There’s wonderful ripeness channelled with absolute precision on an elegant, smooth palate. Subtle fruit echoes long, real elegance.” 94 points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous

Stand back as this riesling lightning strike arrives. Complex nose of dried flowers and summer meadows. Ripe and juicy, but also very elegant and crisp with stunning mineral freshness at the very long pointed finish. Delicious, but also excellent potential. From organically grown grapes with Fair’n Green certification. Drink or hold. 94 Points, Stuart Pigott […]
Add to cart Producer: DonnhoffThe RS21 Riesling from Castle Rock is a medium dry Riesling which has wonderful balance between natural acidity and the residual sugar left in the wine. Feijoa and lime evident on the palate, backed by some floral notes. The sugar gives a lovely richness to the mid palate. The Riesling acid structure is in excellent […]

Smokey, herbal, mushroom compost, white peach, gardenia, lime zest, lime, blackcurrant and cherry. Broad shouldered and rich with the most complex fruit profile of all wines tasted. Red fruits, blueberry, blackcurrant, yellow […]
Add to cart Producer: JJ PrumI love the ‘R’ designations on the Pressing Matters rieslings. From R0 for bone-dry to R139 for sweet, they are an indication of the RS in the wine. The R9, in theory, should teeter on that fulcrum between dry and off-dry, but that crystalline Tasmanian acidity tempers any sweetness and it appears dry. And totally […]
