A fine pale lemon. The bouquet is delicious, refined gentle orchard fruit, with a little reduction too, quite refined citrus notes, but pure white fruit too. This is not a massive Morgeot, though there is adequate structure behind. Drink from 2028-2034. (91-94) Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, October 2023.
From 2 parcels; Fairendes and Abbaye de Morgeot. Half of the vines in “Les Fairendes” were planted in 1964 and the remainder in 1974. This parcel has deeper soil where rocks break the surface. Up-slope, the stony red soil is shallow but gets deeper lower down the slope where the soil is white, heavy, compacted and clayey.

“The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes is especially good this year, offering up aromas of citrus oil, lemon curd, pear, white flowers and bread dough framed by a deft touch of youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and suave, with a deep, multidimensional core of fruit, racy acids and chalky structuring extract, it concludes […]
Add to cart Producer: Henri GermainLight straw colour with a reserved lemon/grapefruit aroma, fresh and penetrating, the palate brisk and bright with vibrant acidity and intense grapefruit/lemon flavours that persist the full length of the very long palate. Superb vitality and balance. It promises to reward cellaring too. Tremendously concentrated and compact, with extreme drive and massive persistence, it positively […]
Add to cart Producer: Leeuwin Estate2023 is a great vintage across Tasmania covering all varietals. Sourced from vines planted in 1987, the juice is whole bunch pressed into French oak, 10% new, for 9 months. Quite a contemporary style with tangy grapefruit, citrus, white flowers, cream and subtle oak. Lively, and zesty, with unctuous fruit, reductive notes, oak and zingy […]
Add to cart Producer: MeadowbankDiam. Not all Petit Chablis is created equal! Moreau’s Petit Chablis comes from a single 2.5-hectare site between Courgis and Beine, just outside Chablis on the route to Auxerre. It has a southwest orientation and lies on Kimmeridgian soils (as opposed to the higher Portlandian soils on which most Petit is grown). Half of the plot […]
