From the high altitude vineyard of Bowyer Ridge. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, with only the free range juice run off in to 500L French oak puncheons, 33% new. Notes of grapefruit, white peach, nectarine, green apple, preserved lemon, wood spice and brioche. Juicy and pulpy fruit as if it’s just been picked. Cream and wood, framing, filling out the palate and piling onto layers and layers of pristine, crisp fruit. Chiseled acidity cuts through the densely packed flavours, lifting and driving the palate. A chardonnay-lovers chardonnay. Bright, detailed and packed with flavour, stuffing and texture. Waters Wine Co
A very fine chardonnay, yet there is a lot of fine chardonnay. Impeccably applied oak, smart use of lees for breadth and intrigue and oodles of stone-fruit accents and baked bread. The finish, forceful, generous and yet, tautly restrained. This will age well, no doubt. 93 Points – Ned Goodwin, Halliday Wine Companion 2023
