“The 2022 Bourgogne Jeunes Vignes et Derniers Jus is a medium-bodied, ample and fleshy wine evocative of peaches, beeswax, white flowers and orange oil. Open and expressive, it’s produced from the later press fractions from Guffens‘s other cuvées.” 86-88 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
In 2022, Jean-Marie brought together the first juices of the youngest vines of Chavigne with the last presses of the oldest vines and those from his great terroirs (including 1ers Crus) in Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé. Searching for charm and accessibility in its youth, the wine aged in a concrete vat for 16 months. It’s been almost a decade since we could offer a Guffens-Heynen cuvée at this price. Incredibly seductive, layered and complex, loaded with floral and complex lees notes. To say this over-delivers is the understatement of the century. Enjoy it while it lasts!

The 2018 Meursault Le Limozin wafts from the glass with notes of ripe pear, orange rind, hazelnuts and sourdough. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and lively, with a broader attack than the more incisive Chevalières, concluding with a saline finish. 90-92 points, William Kelly, The Wine Advocate Outstanding. Top Value. A […]

Add to cart Producer: Pierre-Yves Colin-MoreyFrom 0.51 ha of vines in 2 separate plots planted 1993 and 1965, one in the steepest stoniest part close to Blagny which contributes excellent acidity and structure, the other part is from lower down where the soil is richer and this part gives greater richness and depth to the wine. This shows wonderful intensity […]
Add to cart Producer: Jean-Louis ChavyScrewcap. Unusually for a Petit Chablis, which generally comes from the lower-lying sites on Portlandian limestone, the lion’s share of this cuvée is drawn from a parcel of Kimmeridgian-based soil. Yet it’s not necessarily the type of limestone but more the location that makes the difference. The small Defaix parcel is well situated on the […]
