Sourced from a cool McLaren Vale vineyard. A great vintage yields bargains like this. Lovely aromatics, with fresh flowers, plum, cherry, blueberry and spice. Deeply flavoured, medium to full bodied with masses of fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon and gentle, sandy tannins. Waters Wine Co
Blueberry coulis, lilac and aniseed. Lifted aromas, enticing and auguring well for the energy to come. Some reductive tension, nicely handled. Plush and pulpy, yet far from any throwaway semi-carbonic style. A rim of tannin and a tranche of salty freshness soused with some whole-bunch spice makes sure of that. Good drinking. 93 points – Ned Goodwin MW, Halliday Wine Companion
