Good chianti can be hard to find, often light and raw or over oaked and bigger than a Barossa shiraz. Isole e Olena’s Chianti are none of those things! Crimson in colour with sour cherry and bramble notes. The palate has a subtle, lithe character full of perfumed fruit and is given depth by a mineral vein. Great structure from the taut acidity and tannin. Waters Wine Co
Just mid crimson. Finely fragrant, sweet raspberry nose. Beautiful precision on the palate with crushed-raspberry fruit and polished, fine tannins. 17.5/20 Points Walter Speller, Jancisrobinson.com
Lots of ripe fruit flavors with orange peel and stony minerality. Medium- to full-bodied with an array of round, velvety tannins. Even and broad with a lingering finish. Very attractive. 93 Points Jamessuckling.com

At first quite closed, this has a whole spectrum of citric aromas that slowly open up. Notes of lychee and mangosteen, too. Then comes the wide-screen palate that’s packed with ripe fruit, but still quite tight on the long, very precise finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but better from 2022. 93 Points – […]

Bright, clear crimson colour; it has a delicious sour cherry, raspberry and black pepper blend, the palate harmonious, juicy, and as fresh as a daisy. 96 points & Top 100 Wines of the Year – […]
Add to cart Producer: Fighting Gully RoadThe 2017 Old Hut Shiraz has an enticing nose of dark berry fruits and lifted spice. It’s a dense, more brooding style of Shiraz compared to the Tyrrell’s 4 Acres. Yet it still shows the pedigree of its lineage with superb balance and length. The Old Hut vineyard was planted in 2003 with cuttings taken […]
Add to cartDiscreet nose, almost closed, but with plenty of vigorous swirling, a stunning aromatic tapestry emerges. Blood plum, red cherry, blueberry, cocoa, lavender, blood orange, dried flowers, cigar, sandalwood and polished leather. Texturally complex. Sleek, puckering and tannic, and it’s this combination that sets Brunello apart from other grapes. Very fine and elemental, expansive across the […]
