Thistle & Weed Khakibos White Blend 2024

Sourced from three wildly different vineyards, yet woven together into a blend of remarkable harmony. Incredibly complex and layered, with fresh lemon, lime and mandarin, orange blossom, frangipani, savoury spice and dolmades. Refined and silky, salty and mineral, with a creamy, lanolin-like mid-palate that is pure textural pleasure. A mineral tightening towards the finish draws everything in, lending focus, grip and length.

 

Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Chenin Blanc 2024

Flavours of melon, white peach and almond blossom and a hint of minerality that adds to the elegance of the wine. Masterfully oaked, this wine is textured and creamy on the mid-palate with a lively, crisp finish. This wine can be enjoyed now, but with careful cellaring it should age gracefully over the next 10 years.

 

Mullineux Kloof Street Old Vine Chenin 2022

Grapes for the Kloof Street Chenin Blanc come from vineyard parcels on a variety of soils in different parts of the Swartland. The wine is part tank and part barrel fermented. Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of sun ripened pears and wet granite. The palate has a vibrant acidity balanced by a soft, round texture and some pithy character. A fresh, mineral finish.

 

Miles Mossop Introduction Red 2020

An unusual blend for an entry level South African red, 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cinsault 11% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, all from Stellenbosch. And it works brilliantly. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, granite, blueberry, strawberry and fresh compost. Rich and succulent, round in shape and tightened by tangy fruits and powdery tannins. The Cabernet really comes through strongly with notes of black fruits, tobacco leaf and cedar. A thoroughly complete red.

 

Olifantsberg Syrah 2019

This wine delivers a complex array of flavours of red and dark current berries, beautiful sweet aromas of violets layered by hints of liquorice and pepper. The palate has a refined taste with balanced acidity and tannins.

 

Mullineux Kloof Street Rouge 2020

The Swartland Rouge is a Mediterranean style red blend based on Syrah with other Rhône varieties. The grapes are sourced from vineyards on the different soils in various parts of the Swartland. This seductive blend of Southern Rhône varieties has a perfumed nose of violets, spice and purple fruit. The medium to full bodied, food-friendly palate is finely textured with firm but approachable tannins and a fresh, lingering finish.
