The 2018 Marsannay Les Longeroies, matured in 25% new oak, has a well-defined blackberry and raspberry bouquet with veins of blue fruit. The medium-bodied palate offers svelte tannins and fine acidity. Very cohesive, with an elegant finish. Excellent. 90-92, Neal Martin, Vinous
Bursting with aromas of raspberries, cherries, woodsmoke, rich soil and grilled meats, the 2018 Marsannay Les Longeroies is medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, with fine tannins and a lively, vibrant core of fruit. This represents a fine introduction to the appellation and to the domaine’s style. 90-92 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
The Longeroies vineyard is on the boundary between Marsannay and the next village of Chenôve. It is a star climat of the AOC and has been earmarked for promotion to 1er Cru (when Marsannay finally gets some!), a logic echoed by Jasper Morris MW in his excellent tome Inside Burgundy. Longeroies faces south, and the two Mortet parcels sit mid-slope. One is 50 years old, and the other was planted with Pinot Fin clones in 1992. The aging consisted of 18 months in oak casks, 25% new and the balance in one- and two-year-old wood. Although the prices are now rising, Marsannay remains one of the last great value appellations of the Côte and this is certainly one of its finest examples.

The 2019 Bourgogne Rouge delivers inviting aromas of cassis, sweet berries, spices and orange rind, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that’s lively and sapid. After the rich, gourmand 2018, the 2019 is a touch more nuanced and dynamic, but this is always a dependable cuvée. 88 Points – William Kelley, […]
Add to cart Producer: Thierry GlantenayNatural cork. With both this cuvée and the wonderful Rugiens-Hauts, Leroux is back in Pommard with a bang. The 2019 is a blend of Les Vaumuriens (high on the slope) and Les Cras (on the lower slope), both vineyards lying on the Volnay side of the village. Leroux notes the cooler, hillside fruit from Les Vaumuriens brings freshness and balance to the blend. […]
Add to cart Producer: Benjamin LerouxThe latest rendition of a cuvée that goes from strength to strength, Glantenay‘s old vine 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Les Saussilles offers up notions of Griotte cherries, cassis, potpourri and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, racy and concentrated, with superb depth at the core and a saline finish, it’s well worth seeking out. As I’ve written […]
Add to cart Producer: Thierry GlantenayIt’s hard to express, but smells tighter, with some more noticeable oak. Plum, Daphne, creme de cassis, raspberry and brown spice. The structure is more evident than in the Mature Vine and is cooler, cosseted and slightly less expressive. Very long, so persistent with those trademark velvety/chalk tannins that become more firm and morph into […]
