The 2022 Morgon Cuvée Corcelette has a crisp and delineated bouquet brimming with energy. Lively red fruit seems to leap from the glass. The palate is beautifully built, svelte tannins matched with a silver bead of acidity, very harmonious with a lightly spiced and persistent finish. This has a bit of Liam-Gallagher-like swagger about it—nothing wrong with that in my book. 92 points – Vinous
Corcelette’s soils are of sandy pink granite. Facing south-east with a high elevation of 470 metres, the wines are some of the prettiest in Beaujolais. Beautiful aromatics. Raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and plum. The palate is ever so bright. Once again red fruits, with a medium weighted palate that’s so vibrant it’s refreshing. I find the tannins powdery and ever present, caressing the fruit from the get go. Not dominating mind, just there. Persistent. The structure is apparent at the front of the palate and runs the length of the wine. Waters Wine Co

Superb vitality and balance. It promises to reward cellaring too. Tremendously concentrated and compact, with extreme drive and massive persistence, it positively […]

Now we enter the realm of Bouland’s spectacular, terroir-specific Morgons. This particular wine is the first of two cuvées that focus on Corcelette’s sandy, granitic soils. This soil generates wines of great perfume and finer, rounder tannins than those of Morgon’s more schist-influenced terroirs. Like all Bouland’s wines this was whole-bunch fermented with indigenous yeasts […]
Read more Producer: Daniel BoulandThe gamay was grafted onto own rooted cabernet vines, which were planted in 1999. The soil is black cracking clay soil, with a mixture of submerged volcanic pebbles and boulders at one end, and a more friable and slightly more vigorous chocolate-coloured soil at the other. The first fruit was picked during the 2014 vintage. […]
