Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot; matured for 15 months in French oak (45% new). Superb colour, the bouquet a wondrously complex mix of cassis, earth, tapenade and black olive, all fused into a magically woven palate with tightly furled tannins. 98 Points, Halliday’s Top 100 Wines of 2021
87% Cabernet sauvignon, with 7/3/2/1% merlot/cabernet franc/malbec/petit verdot. Matured for 15 months in barrique, 45% new. Cassis and red licorice on the nose, bay and salt bush, too. The palate is salty and fine with layers upon layers of spice and texture. The tannins are like finely textured gills, stacked as delicately as the folds in a mushroom. The length of flavour unfurls and extends across the palate, taking so long to fade that this entire tasting note is possible off one sip. The rest are just for pleasure. Drink it now, or in 40+ years from now… both will be possible. 98 Points, Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion 2022

One of Australia’s forgotten wines, Barossa Valley Cabernet is distinctive for its middle palate richness and sweetness of tannin. Classic Cabernet, with black fruits, blueberry, cigar box, milk chocolate and violets. Rich, medium to full bodied with lathered on fruit and lathered on tannins. There is an effortless poise and freshness to the character and […]
Add to cart Producer: StonegardenImpenetrable yet vivid colour. Gorgeous nose of blackcurrant, kirsch, lavender and a touch of tobacco. Full bodied, with glossy blue and black fruits, cigar box, coal dust, chocolate and cherries. It’s certainly within the Wild Duck mould, but like all their releases since 2020, a new level of vigour and intensity has entered the wines. […]
Add to cart Producer: Wild Duck CreekThe lightest iteration of Joshua Cooper’s sturdier varietals, but it’s by no means light. Super complex aromatics of lavender, violets, iodine, blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, charcoal/coal dust. Tight, coiled lacy and chalky, the skins are tasted and felt. Tannins are firm, receding to chalk and they are ever present, shaping and defining the wine. Interwoven acidity […]

Domaine A’s Stoney Creek range is built for earlier drinking, yet they are very serious wines indeed, with a little more fruit weight than their other releases. A 87/9.5/3/0.5% cabernet sauvignon/Merlot/cabernet franc/ petit verdot blend, somewhat reminiscent of St Estephe. Expressive aromatics of cassis, violets, lavender, bay leaf, blackberry, dark cherry and spicy oak. Gorgeous […]
