“The 2021er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese offers a superbly complex and pure fresh nose of candied grapefruit, vineyard peach, verbena, almond cream, smoke, and a hint of cassis. The wine proves superbly honeyed and creamy on the palate, where riper elements of pineapple, honeyed peach, and apricot are wrapped in candied citrusy fruits. The wine is intense and still quite broad but the finish is already pure and hugely long. This is a splendid refined Auslese, which just needs time to develop all its facets. 2036-2061” 96 points, Jean Fisch and David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines
“Crushed slate, slight smoke and hints of lime appear initially on the nose of the 2021 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Auslese, followed by a lovely herbal fresh chervil note. The palate is a veritable dance of lime and lemon, with brilliant, heightened citrus – beautifully serene, classic, straight and elegant. Wonderful citrus length. Absolute clarity. Wow.” 95 points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous
“The 2021 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese is very clear, pure and refined on the fascinating, flinty, finely concentrated and lemon-scented nose. Lush and savory on the palate, with crystalline acidity and great precision, this is a supple yet frisky as well as substantial and sustainable Auslese from the Himmelreich, and it develops a long, complex and saline finish. This is highly stimulating already, but the best is yet to come here. 7% stated alcohol.” 95 points, Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate

From the Coal River Valley; made by Sam Connew. Acidity is the secret to all things sweet, and the cool 2021 harvest was idyllic for wines of this ilk. Pale straw green; it leaps from the glass with brilliant purity of white lily fragrance, Granny Smith apple, lime and lemon. Not a molecule out of […]

Very lively palate, and the fruit is juicy, the structure linear and precise. Great vintage? Pretty close! Coiled perfection. Waters Wine Co
Add to cart Producer: Fritz HaagThe latest rendition of Agrapart’s NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs is excellent. Based on the 2018 vintage, with fully 60% reserve wines from 2017 (some 40% of which mature in wood), it’s medium to full-bodied, seamless and chiseled, evocative of citrus oil, buttered toast, mint and fresh bread. It derives from […]
Add to cart Producer: Agrapart‘Cordon Cut’ refers to the unusual practice of cutting the canes allowing the grapes to ‘raisin’ naturally on the vine, concentrating flavour and sugar levels. 2020 is another outstanding vintage for Mount Horrocks. The wine is a bright, pale white gold colour with concentrated lemon-lime and vanilla spice. The juicy fruit washes over a vibrant […]
