Pewsey Vale Vineyard Riesling 2023

One of Australia’s most consistent and best value whites. A great vintage for this wine too. Expressive and concentrated. Lemon, lime, white peach, start jasmine and sculptural acidity. Riesling sourced a single vineyard way up around 490m elevation in Pewsey Vale; made by winemaker Louisa Road. When I was living in the Eden Valley, 10km or so from this vineyard, we used to call Pewsey Vale riesling ‘Eden Valley San Pellegrino’, such was the gusto with which we consumed it. Nothing’s changed. It’s classic Eden Valley riesling through and through. Fresh limes, Christmas lily, a sizzling minerally line and thirst slakingly wonderful.
