Gentle Folk Village Chardonnay 2022

A blend of Piccadilly, Ashton and Scary Gully vineyards, though quite different from the single vineyard wines. It’s lighter for a start, at least in body, but it’s packed with lemon, lime preserve, grapefruit, gin herbs and pithy extract. There’s a saline, oyster shell quality and a touch of lanolin, a strange weave of elements that work so well. Richness in presence, but poised and discreet enough to ensure an easy drink.
