This is arguably the greatest rosé wine of Champagne. Why is it so good? Well, the first reason is that the fruit comes from 100% Grand Cru estate vines grown by one of the most meticulous vignerons in the region. Then there is the five percent of Egly’s 2015 Coteaux Champenois Rouge—the finest red wine of the AOC in our opinion, and not only ours! This red Pinot gives the wine its colour and a great deal of its vinous character. The blend is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay with 50% from the 2017 vintage and the reserve wines split between 2016 and 2015. The dosage is a negligible two grams per litre. Interestingly, this is always Egly’s most delicate wine. It’s unbelievably fine, perfumed, delicate and red-fruited; something truly special. It’s also now bottled in dark glass, protecting it from light strike.
Vintages: 2017 (50%), 2016 (30%), 2015 (20%), Bottling: 2018, Disgorgement: July 2023, Time on lees: 60 months

The 2016 Extra Brut Vignes d’Autrefois is 100% Meunier from vines planted in 1947 and 1964 done in neutral oak. Bright and vibrant in the glass, the 2016 offers a compelling interplay of Meunier richness with striking layers of intense minerality that open over time. Sweet floral notes add inner perfume and the closing flourishes […]
Add to cart Producer: Laherte FreresBased on the 2018 vintage and disgorged with only one gram per liter dosage, Egly’s NV Brut Les Prémices delivers aromas of sweet orchard fruit, peach, baking spices and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it’s a charming, enveloping wine with a sweet core of fruit and a bright, saline finish. 90 points, […]
Add to cart Producer: Egly-OurietLovely alluring scents of strawberries, red cherry, raspberry, blood orange aniseed and Middle Eastern spice. Sensual and rich, creamy with a gentle, fluffy mousse. Extremely complex palate, far more than you should expect in a NV rose Champagne. Again that lift from citrus fruit, pith and mineral textures, bright acidity and complex fruit profile. The […]
Add to cart Producer: Paul DethuneChartogne’s delicious rosé is based on a similar blend to the Sainte Anne cuvée, without the reserve wine – instead this is purely from vintage 2018. The base was combined with a little Estate red wine from the vineyards of Les Orizeaux and Fontaines de Saint Thierry. Wild fermentation was followed by élevage in barrels of […]
