Rings Saumagen GG Pinot Noir 2020

One of the most famous Grand Cru sites in the Pfalz region. Marl lime mixed with countless small limestone rocks characterises the soil in this small basin, facing south/south-east. Here, the vines can flourish in the best conditions. Harvest is by hand, second sorting and destemming in the winery. In warm years we add some whole clusters. After a short maceration the crushed must ferments in wooden “cuvees”, with wild yeasts. Aged in new and reused French barriques. No fining, no filtration. Powerul, yet elegant Pinot with great length. Winemaker’s Notes
