Lamarche owns a solid half-hectare in Les Chaumes, a superb vineyard that is located right under Aux Malconsorts and La Tâche. The vines here are now between 30 and 40 years old. At this address Chaumes produces extremely fine-boned, perfumed and sensual Vosne. As per the other 2019s, this was fermented with 30% whole bunches.
Very pretty mid red of no great depth, doesn’t need to be. The nose shows a little elegant red fruit, but is not really au rendez-vous. Then there is an impressive depth of fruit, right from the start of the palate, a few orange zest notes in with raspberry and strawberry, very long, sensual finish. Another Chaumes success for Nicole Lamarche. 91-94 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

Natural cork. With both this cuvée and the wonderful Rugiens-Hauts, Leroux is back in Pommard with a bang. The 2019 is a blend of Les Vaumuriens (high on the slope) and Les Cras (on the lower slope), both vineyards lying on the Volnay side of the village. Leroux notes the cooler, hillside fruit from Les Vaumuriens brings freshness and balance to the blend. […]
Add to cart Producer: Benjamin LerouxLe Dessus de Montchenevoy is located above the famed Savigny 1er Cru Aux Guettes. It’s a west-facing site on white soils that sits at an altitude of 350 metres and is surrounded by trees. The altitude and cool air from the forest help moderate the climate here, resulting in slow ripening and flavour development, while […]
Add to cart Producer: ChanterevesThis is 100% estate fruit, 25% whole bunches were retained while the balance of the crop was destemmed. A wild ferment was in small open vats and the juice had about three to four days rest before some gentle foot-stomping and a daily plunge. Everything was pressed after 14 days into tank, and then gravity-fed […]
Add to cart Producer: HochkirchChartogne’s delicious rosé is based on a similar blend to the Sainte Anne cuvée, without the reserve wine – instead this is purely from vintage 2018. The base was combined with a little Estate red wine from the vineyards of Les Orizeaux and Fontaines de Saint Thierry. Wild fermentation was followed by élevage in barrels of […]
