Iggy Deda Barossa Valley Roussanne Marsanne 2022

Whole bunch pressed, matured in oak, around a fifth new and with full malolactic fermentation. The wine is rich and dark in colour, and for all its flavour; beautifully aromatic, fresh and textured. Very complex, with notes of crushed apple, honeycomb, jasmine, white peach, pear and roasted almond. Full bodied and round in shape. Lanolin texture, creamy, silky, pure. Notes of melon, yellow peach, white cherry, nectarine, Victoria plum and fennel. Utterly absorbing, a style of wine I rarely enjoy, yet one of our favourite whites of the year so far. Served with roast suckling pig, a perfect combination. Waters Wine Co

Pale straw to golden in colour, with omnipresent aromas of pear, lychee, yellow peach, and honey, yet at a level above 2021 vintage. And evidently more complex, rounded, and exuberant on the nose. Hints of nuttiness, think macadamia. Voluptuous mouthfeel with smooth, creamy texture, and just enough acidity to keep everything in balance. A tad brighter and more vibrant, longer lasting finish comparing to the predecessor. A versatile, generous wine that can be perfectly enjoyed on its own, although it will truly shine when paired with the right food. Winemaker’s Notes
