Lifted lime citrus aromas, the palate is seamless – showing the typical powerful fruit core, balanced by the wine’s texture and soft acid profile. The length and power of fruit on the palate is what sets this year’s Vat 1 apart from other recent vintages. A classic in the making, akin to the legendary 2005 and 2009 vintages.
Sourced from predominantly the Short Flat Vineyard, with a small percentage from neighbouring De Beyers. These two iconic vineyards both feature ideal sandy, well-drained soils. Vines planted on their own roots and dry grown, the oldest planted in 1923. The grapes were hand-picked then, after a relatively cool fermentation, the wine spent minimal time on yeast lees before being bottled early to maintain its freshness. No oak fermentation or maturation.

Producer: Tyrrell'sThe lieux-dit of Les Chevalieres is situated above the village of Meursault. Above is the lieux-dit of Les Luchets, which produces a higher toned, more tensile wine. I can’t help but think that this is ideally situated, in a sense, mid-slope, the perfect aspect in Burgundy. Impossibly complex, with notes of white flowers, lemon, lime, […]

The wine is a bright, pale white gold colour with concentrated lemon-lime and vanilla spice. The juicy fruit washes over a vibrant […]
Add to cart Producer: Mount HorrocksThe 2015 Les Jardins de Babylone is simply outstanding; layered and pulpy with ripe stone fruit shot through with crystalline grapefruit and orange rind freshness. Deep and yet somehow delicate and fresh, it is both a wine that will live for decades but a wonderful drink now! A release that easily justifies the claim, often […]
Add to cart Producer: Didier DagueneauThis is arguably the greatest rosé wine of Champagne. Why is it so good? Well, the first reason is that the fruit comes from 100% Grand Cru estate vines grown by one of the most meticulous vignerons in the region. Then there is the five percent of Egly’s 2015 Coteaux Champenois Rouge—the finest red wine […]
