More yellow fruit here – golden delicious apple, peach, plum – silky on entry, weightier on the palate, then the minerality and acidity kick in to clean it all up before the flavour sensation returns on a long finish.
Some herbal elements, mirabelle, greengage and caraway. Superbly racy and playful and leaves a razor-sharp yet nicely juicy feel in the finish. A subtle and beautifully soothing touch of whipped cream rounds off the aftertaste. This is a real kabinett with all the raciness defining the style. 93 Points – Mosel Fine Wines, 2026-38
This has very attractive, fresh, rich peaches and fine, stony mineral notes. The palate delivers a salty, tangy feel with fresh, crisp and clean flavours. Nails the brief for great kabinett! 94 Points – James Suckling
This smells deeper and a little more savoury than the Graacher Himmelreich, a greater sense of underground minerality. So complex even in youth. Both intense and full of energy, lively, harmonious and yet with a wild streak of adventure, more piercing at the very end. Very persistent and very good value. 17/20 Points – Julia Harding MW
