Reductive. Scents of smoke, kiwifruit, gunflint and botrytis. Full bodied and succulent. Honey, citrus Kiwifruit and ginger. Lovely power and driving acidity. Waters Wine ’18.
The 2012 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (AP #15 13) from JJ Prum opens clear, cool, precise, smoky and very elegant on the nose. Light but intense and very elegant on the palate this delicious, racy and stimulatingly piquant and grippy Riesling reveals great balance. Gorgeous already, but still good in 20 or 30 years. 94 points, Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate #217
