Tastes of luxury, according to Louise, and I have to agree. Feels luxurious too, with a long, slender frame woven by silken threads. Rich and almost full bodied, poised. Ripe fruit, yellow peach, guava, pawpaw, kiwifruit and cherry. Very fine feel and subtle texture, flecked with spice. Imperious and magnificent. Waters Wine Co
Exotic, rich, pungent nose with truly exciting fruit. Crunchy sensation and really deep flavours. Passion fruit flavours and creamy texture. Electric impact and no shortage of ripe fruit but a long, bone-dry finish. Great stuff. 17/20 – Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com
Cuvée Théo Riesling comes exclusively from the monopole Le Clos des Capucins (which takes its name from the Capuchin friars who arrived here in 1619), at the base of the celebrated Schlossberg hill. The Clos is well protected from winds by the surrounding hills and by the walls enclosing it. The soils consist of sand, alluvial pebbles and granitic gravel. Here the low-cropping vines typically offer up a supple and pithy Riesling that’s beautifully accessible young—a reflection of these sandy soils. As per all Weinbach Rieslings, this was whole-cluster pressed, fermented without any yeast additions and matured in very old oak casks for 10 months. Importer’s notes

The grapes are grown on heavy red clay soils that are rich in nutrients and have significant water holding capacity. These classic Terra Rossa soils are responsible for the rich flavours and generous palate weight that has become the hallmark […]

“The 2021 Rheingau is a pure Riesling trocken with bright, ripe fruit and fine mineral stone as well as herbal aromas—pretty complex for a generic Rheingau Riesling from Kiedrich, Eltville, Erbach and Lorch. Lush and round but elegant, this is a fruity, juicy and very aromatic Riesling with mouth-filling texture and fine mineral grip on […]

Instantly appealing, sliced-pear and white-peach aromas with floral and mandarin notes. This medium-bodied dry riesling is so charming and lively, but also has very good depth and balance at the finish. 92 points, Stuart Pigott, James Suckling Dry. Organic. Screwcap. Few German estates produce an entry Riesling of this depth and structure. It is made entirely […]

Initially the nose is a little shy with fresh notes of citrus peel and blossom. The palate is typical Cooinda Vale, refined and elegant with lemon sherbet, cumquat and marmalade. Strong acid profile with a persistent finish. 5 months maturation on fine lees in tank prior to bottling. Halliday Winery of the Year 2023 […]
