Tastes of luxury, according to Louise, and I have to agree. Feels luxurious too, with a long, slender frame woven by silken threads. Rich and almost full bodied, poised. Ripe fruit, yellow peach, guava, pawpaw, kiwifruit and cherry. Very fine feel and subtle texture, flecked with spice. Imperious and magnificent. Waters Wine Co
Exotic, rich, pungent nose with truly exciting fruit. Crunchy sensation and really deep flavours. Passion fruit flavours and creamy texture. Electric impact and no shortage of ripe fruit but a long, bone-dry finish. Great stuff. 17/20 – Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com
Cuvée Théo Riesling comes exclusively from the monopole Le Clos des Capucins (which takes its name from the Capuchin friars who arrived here in 1619), at the base of the celebrated Schlossberg hill. The Clos is well protected from winds by the surrounding hills and by the walls enclosing it. The soils consist of sand, alluvial pebbles and granitic gravel. Here the low-cropping vines typically offer up a supple and pithy Riesling that’s beautifully accessible young—a reflection of these sandy soils. As per all Weinbach Rieslings, this was whole-cluster pressed, fermented without any yeast additions and matured in very old oak casks for 10 months. Importer’s notes

Poison Hill Vineyard lies on the northern edge of the Frankland River township. Its distinctive name comes from its location on a hill where the Heart-leaf poison bush is found, which is poisonous to all but indigenous animals. This tiny 3ha Riesling vineyard is planted on a unique white clay and weathered quartz soil, which […]

Gorgeous wine, essence of Riesling and already approachable. Steely finish suggests a long life ahead. Bone dry and very long. 17.5 points, Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com The Schlossberg hill has long been […]

The palate is energetic, lemon curd, lime pith and Granny Smith apple supported by great line and length. Still youthful – drink now to 5+ years from Cellar Release. Winemaker’s Notes Click here […]
Add to cart Producer: Bream CreekThree weeks maceration on the skins has produced this superb dry tasting wine – red apple skin on the nose with brightness and verve. In the mouth it is broad and tactile, you sense the grip from the skins maceration but it is very fine. The finish is long pure and clear, a super and […]
