From vines planted in 1937. This wine is a from a 0.8ha block on deep clay over limestone. Whole bunch pressed into stainless steel for fermentation and then aged 3-6 months in old barriques.
The 2018 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisin Dorés has a delightful bouquet of yellow plum and light lemon curd aromas that are well defined. The palate is very spicy, almost Riesling-like, with a lovely fatness on the finish. Very fine. 88-90 points, Neal Martin, Vinous
Bursting with aromas of smoky pear and waxy citrus rind, the 2018 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisins Dorés is medium to full-bodied and unusually rich and textural this year, with succulent acids and a generous core of fruit. This was harvested after the red grapes, on 25-26 September, and the result is a giving, immediate Aligoté that should offer a broad drinking window. 88 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
An overtly spicy nose speaks primarily of green apple and citrus where the latter element can also be found on the delicious middle weight flavors that possess a lovely texture while exhibiting fine length on the balanced bitter lemon-inflected finale. Very good quality for its level and worth checking out. 87-89 points, Allen Meadow, Burghound
