From vines planted in 1937. This wine is a from a 0.8ha block on deep clay over limestone. Whole bunch pressed into stainless steel for fermentation and then aged 3-6 months in old barriques.
The 2017 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisons Dorés has a very pure bouquet with yellow flowers, hints of apricot and orange blossom. Not powerful, but utterly seductive. The palate is saline on the entry with touches of ginger stem, not deep or voluminous, quite strict for an Aligoté but very focused. Excellent. 89-91 Points Drink: 2019-2023 Neil Martin vinous.com Jan 2019
