Domaine Cauhape Jurancon Sec Chante des Vignes
A fine and intense bouquet, with notes of citrus and exotic fruits coming from the Gros Manseng, along with hints of white pepper, cinnamon and fennel from the Camaralet. Lovely volume and texture on the palate, finishing long and refreshing with crisp acidity.
Domaine de Souch Jurancon Monplaisir Sec 2018
Domaine de Souch’s Monplaisir Sec is pure, ethereal and extraordinarily complex. Apricot, peach, honey, melon and pineapple. The palate is all dancing lightness and yet the wine has immense presence. Neat, discreet and balanced acidity. Delicious and unique.
Full of tension and focus, this is the juicier, more perfumed of the two dry whites. It’s spring loaded with agile ripe lemon and zesty white peach fruit tethered to a searingly firm, saline acid line. While by a margin this is Clos Larrouyat’s largest cuvée, it should not hang around long.
