This is produced from fruit off the recently purchased Chagniots parcel situated between Ladoix and Corgoloin. The Aligoté (doré) vines here are 100 years old, although one-quarter of the vineyard had to be replanted. This deep clay plot is a mere 0.17 hectares, farmed organically. Even at this villages level, the soils are horse-ploughed by Gilbert Simond who is a master in his field (and works for growers such as de Montille and Lafon). The cover crop contains a mix of 26 different perennial plant species to maintain biodiversity and healthy soil composition.
