A site which proves itself year on year, I have been sourcing fruit and working with this vineyard for more than 10 years. With sandy loam over clay, and gravel over mudstone, it’s located on the Yarra Glen/Dixons Creek boundary. It gets just the right amount on sunshine to produce succulent Marsanne. This was a cooler season coming off 2016. There was good hang-time in the vineyard and natural acid retention in fruit. This has seen some pretty traditional winemaking with some skin contact and no acid adjustments, and generated some good phenolics and balance.
