White peach, nectarine, and freshly cut pineapple combining with toasty barrel ferment notes. The palate is bright and lively- mirroring the orchard fruits of the nose, with a great density of flavour. A lovely intense struck flint finish adds tension and balance.
The Chardonnay at Woodlands Brook resides on a gentle south facing slope, similar to the ‘Chloe’ block at Woodlands – sandy loam over clay soils provides the perfect environment for the vines to flourish. The fruit produces wines of delicacy and distinction. The 2019 Woodlands Brook Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented, natural yeast. Fruit from a 7 hectare close-planted plot of Mendoza clone Chardonnay grapes.
