Gosh! The brand of white Burgundy, richness and freshness, weightless power. Very concentrated, but there’s no flab, only tingly, green apple freshness. Supple in the mouth, textually like a youthful dry chenin. Honeysuckle, daisies, lemon, lime, spice and minerals. Puckering, mineral finish. Very fine.
From a steep south-west facing vineyard that adjoins 1er cru Sous Fretille which is not far from Corton Charlemagne. ”A tighter nose but there’s depth here. More driving, vibrant wine, a slightly reductive flavour profile that’s very Pernand, long – ooh that’s so good – excellent wine!” Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report, October 2019
