Pure, cool climate aromas of ripe citrus. The 2020 Mount Macleod Chardonnay has a lovely, elegant and textural mid-palate with excellent persistence. This is a lively and fleshy Gippsland Chardonnay that offers sensational value for money.
Mount Macleod is the second label of the Burgundian-inspired Caledonia Australis. In their fairly short lifespan, they’ve carved a reputation as a fine source of excellent value, aromatically complex and elegant Chardonnay. Fermented naturally, the 2020 was raised on its lees for 20 months in old wooden barrels.
