Lambert Wines Crudo Chardonnay 2021

Similar to Luke Lambert Chardonnay, and as much of a bargain. There are few wines, of any varietal that can deliver this level of quality and complexity at this price. Rich, concentrated with white peach, grapefruit, lime and wafts of white flowers. Subtle leesy cream with a backbone of freshness and a biting mineral finish. Bloody awesome as always. The Lambert Crudo Chardonnay fruit comes off the Denton block, a northwest-facing slope of granitic sand over heavy granite boulders. As usual, this was whole-bunch pressed, wild-yeast fermented with no temperature control, saw full malo and old oak (2,000-litre French oak foudre), then zero fining or filtration and only minimal sulphur at bottling.
