Once again there is a strong petrol influence on the citrusy aromas of white peach, matchstick and hazelnut. There is yet again excellent volume to the caressing yet powerful medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the well-delineated, balanced and classier finish. This too is lovely and built-to-age. 91-94 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Issue 75
The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes is excellent, unfurling in the glass with notes of smoky pear, chamomile, honeycomb, mint and oatmeal. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, with bright balancing acids to underpin its layered, satiny-textured but tight-knit core, concluding with a long, precise finish. Given its structure and old-school profile, this will merit some patience, though it’s not in any sense, austere. 92-94 points, William Kelly, The Wine Advocate
