Outstanding. Here too there is a whiff of the exotic present on the white peach, rosemary oil and softly wooded nose. There is outstanding richness to the obviously concentrated and powerful medium weight plus flavors that exhibit fine persistence on the focused and balanced finish. This is a big but harmonious effort that should drink reasonably well young but also with age. 90-93 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 71
Only 108 bottles of the Henri Germain Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot Les Fairendes 2016 shipped to Australia. Close to 20 lieux-dits, or vineyards, this wine can be bottled under the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot appellation, which covers nearly 60 hectares. The finest sites lie in the upper sector, above the main road, on the poorer, white soils. Les Fairendes is one of these sites and it is also where the Germains have their parcel.
