Dappled Appellation Chardonnay 2024

Pale yellow in colour with a green hue, with aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, grilled cashew and toast – this is classic Yarra Valley Chardonnay! The palate shows delicious stone fruit flavours with texture and fullness. It’s all underpinned with a laser sharp pink grapefruit acid line, delivering an overall delicate, long and flavoursome wine. This will develop well into 5-8 years. Reminiscent of my 2018 Appellation Chardonnay. Shaun Crinion

 

Dappled Appellation Pinot Noir 2024

Pale Ruby red colour in the glass with scents of raspberries, cranberry, earth and wood smoke. There’s a gentle whole bunch element coming into play – more like a herb garden than a vegetal character. The palate is delicate and plush with cherry cola and beetroot flavours, and the tannins are very fine. The wine finishes with fresh delicate acidity. Drinking fantastic now, but will be even better in 2-5 years. Shaun Crinion

 

Dappled Tradition Cabernets 2023

“68/32% cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc. Made from a vineyard planted in Steels Creek in ’81. 20% whole bunches. A medium, bright crimson. Dark cherry and blackberry fruit aromas intermingle with a little cedar, oyster shell and some whole-bunch derived floral notes. The medium-bodied palate is energetic and bright with quite chewy, long-chained tannins that bode well for the future.” 95 points – Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
