The 2018 Les Verges Chardonnay from Dappled is fabulous. Always willing to push the envelope, working the fruit to the very edge. So much texture and weight, but without sacrificing freshness. Intense and incredibly complex aromas of white peach, nectarine, dried apricot, fresh lime, white flowers, roasted almonds and flint. The palate offers a dense core of white stone and citrus fruits, coupled with creamy complexity, becoming more focused and taut towards the finish. Flavours linger with a salty flintiness. Delicious.
