Christophe et Fils Vieilles Vignes Chablis 2022

Coiled, cool and tense, a rockier road than the estate’s Chablis. Aromas of lemon, lime zest, gardenia, grapefruit and green apple. Full of tension, Riesling like in breadth and crystal cut acidity. Very refreshing, linear in shape, with just enough fruit to blunt the sword. Very long, the carry goes on and on with a crashing wave of salinity. A bit dramatic? You bet it is. Waters Wine Co
The 2022 Chablis ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is a wine produced from 60 year old vines planted by Sebastien Christophe’s grandfather in the commune of Fontenay-près-Chablis. It is in absolutely top form again in 2022, with lovely cut and tang that sets it apart from the AC Chablis and it always has a little more depth and concentration too. This, as always, is superb, concentrated Chablis from Sébastien Christophe that is of 1er Cru intensity and complexity.
