Highly lifted aromas of red apples and meadow flowers are complexed with secondary characters of flint, spice and wet stone. On the palate, intense minerality combined with fine acidity and lees complexity create a mouthfeel that is velvety and creamy yet focused and intense. Creating a tactile sensation that is long, savoury, and refreshing. Winemaker’s Notes
Sourced from one of the highest vineyards in the state, formerly Baxendale, now owned by the Dal Zotto family. Sparks and crackles in pure, cool-climate class. Some precision winemaking on show with quality fruit that simply comes alive in the glass. White flowers, wild flowers, lemon zest, grapefruit, sherbet, nectarine, peach and almond skin aromas are bright. The energy is palpable, the acidity electric and the flavours linear, integrated and elegant, delivered in a citrus and white peach clarity with almond, hazelnut, flint and spice. So stylish right through to the lingering, gentle hazelnut-oak-laced finish. 96+ Points – Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion
