Les Empreintes is Laherte bottlling the quintessence of the Chavot terroir in a given harvest. There is no mention of vintage on the label, although this comes from the 2010 harvest. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with the Meunier fermented in second-hand DRC Le Montrachet barrels. The fruit here is intensely tangy, floral and with all kinds of citrus and even exotic fruit notes along with that unique, powerful, rocky minerality of the area, that runs the length of the palate. Big on impact and therefore great at the table, this really highlights the unique terroir of Chavot and the Coteaux d’Epernay in general. Classic, big Laherte Freres!
