The grapes used to make this rosé come from selected parcels where the vines are on average 20 years old. The yields are low, which explains the intense concentration and distinct expression of each varietal in this wine. The presence of Mourvedre gives this wine its strong character, balance and complexity. An intense fruit and floral nose make this an attractive rosé.The palate is rounded and full with fruity aromas of peach and pomegranate, followed by delicate spice notes and a pleasant freshness created by acidic balance.
Light purple-pink hue, with a smoky reductive aroma, slightly poohy at first pour, then rich and softly-textured, dry and flavoursome on the tongue. A delicious wine, complex and lingering. Turkish Delight and quince paste. The palate is where it all happens, and it’s a glorious drink. DRINK 2020–2026’ Rating: 95 Points (tasted twice). Producer: Domaine TempierMostly Sangiovese, with smaller amounts of Shiraz and Montepulciano. I love that this isn’t trying to be Bandol or Provence, that it wears the Australian sun on its shoulders. Strawberry, raspberry, cherries and cream. Full flavoured and bright, packed with energy and zingy orange rind driving the finish. Absolutely lovely. Waters Wine Co
