Aromatic and very complex. A compote of black, blue and red fruits, vanilla, lavender, cinnamon and clove. Sweet and savoury fruit, there is always greater intensity and stronger frame than the Vat 8. Medium to full bodied, muscular and crunchy, with terrific detail and layered flavours. Builds across the palate, and is a real feast for the senses. Five years would not do this any harm at all, but ten years would be better. Great wine. Waters Wine Co
A reversion to delicacy. An homage to a noble past of sappy, savoury Hunter Burgundy, as it was once known. With this, there has been an adoption of larger-format oak, less agitation, and with that, superior tannin management. The result, sappy, floral, detailed and dangerously drinkable. Violet, dark cherry, clove, liquorice straps and a sachet of spice. Yet the texture is the totem. And it is sumptuous. 95 Points – Ned Goodwin, Halliday Wine Companion

Producer: Tyrrell'sTerrific rendition of Greenock Creek’s rich and opulent flavours. Full bodied, with black fruits, some sweet raspberry, sumac, cinnamon and wood spice. Round in shape, it’s not heavy and is surprisingly light on it’s feet. Despite all the apparent presence and flavour, there’s a youthful brightness, conveyed by the fine, soft tannins. Lovely focus and […]

Taken from four sites, 60% of the blend comes from the south of Heathcote and the remainder from the northern sites. Combination of American and French oak, 45% being new. Intense aromas of bright red fruits, chocolate and strawberry […]
Add to cart Producer: Wild Duck CreekAlmost black with a dark purple hue, yet the wine is bright, rich and seductive. 5% whole bunch here, adding a vibrant lift from the glass. The nose is all black pastel, charcoal, spice and red fruit compote. The palate has a wonderful electricity about it, with beautiful acids and a smooth finish. It’s full […]
Add to cart Producer: Wild Duck CreekThis shiraz fruit comes from an original By Farr site, planted in 1994 in black cracking clay soil, which dries very quickly. This is the first of the shiraz vineyards to be picked and, being the warmer site, fits perfectly into the Farr Rising line-up. Farr Rising shiraz shows how refinement and fruit flavour can […]
