The 2017 Old Hut Shiraz has an enticing nose of dark berry fruits and lifted spice. It’s a dense, more brooding style of Shiraz compared to the Tyrrell’s 4 Acres. Yet it still shows the pedigree of its lineage with superb balance and length.
The Old Hut vineyard was planted in 2003 with cuttings taken from Tyrrell’s 4 Acres vineyard. The block is next to the 4 Acres and features the ideal red clay soils which give their wines their unique character.

South Africa has an uncanny knack of producing Syrah’s at a price and quality, that should embarrass just about the rest of the world. Serve this in a pinot noir glass. Intense bouquet of black, red and hedge fruits, with lavender, Asian spices and cumquat. Vivid, supple and expansive palate, so soft in the mouth, […]

Add to cart Producer: SavageThis wine has shapeshifted nicely over the years, segueing from a fruit-forward iteration to a more streamlined, taut and spicy expression. Mid weighted, savoury and highly suggestive of the northern Rhône. Aromas of mace, clove, dill pickle, salumi and spiced cherry. Yet there is nothing hard to the tannins or too challenging for those seeking […]
Add to cart Producer: YangarraFrankland River had a great vintage in 2019 and Swinny has cashed in big time, 2019 their best release to date. Expressive, complex and sensual with ferrous notes, geranium, smoked meats, black fruits and cumin. Tight, tense and spicy, with a fascinating structure. Round and voulumious, but focused by muscled tannins and abundant acidity. Black […]
