The only thing wrong with this wine, sourced from a 0.38-hectare vineyard in Cape Town, is that there’s so little of it, owing to the size of the parcel and the strong prevailing winds. Pure, taut, focused and refined, it’s peppery, herbal, graceful and red-fruited, with a delicacy and elegance that wouldn’t look out of place in Côte Rôtie. 2024-30. 97 points – Tim Atkin MW
Sourced from the Harcourt vineyard, ala Place of Changing Winds Harcourt Shiraz 2021, made quite differently. Round and voulumious, but focused by muscled tannins and abundant acidity. Black […]

There is bright purple towards the rim, fading from the deep blackness of the core, suggesting the inclusion of whole bunches. Intense aromatics, florals, black fruits, sweet and savoury spice. It’s not overly complex at present but the flavours are utterly captivating […]
Add to cart Producer: Standish Wine CoMy dream of Syrah; this is produced entirely from old (65 year old) vines from the Gramenon estate and delivers pure, billowing aromas of blackberry, black raspberry, violet, lightly seared meat and gravel. Plush and velvety in the mouth, it has sensual tannins and lively acidity that give it a super definition, shape and long finish. This […]
