Immense bouquet and extremely expressive, classic. Blueberry, blackcurrant, vanilla, milk chocolate, cola and crushed fennel on the nose. Rich full-bodied and concentrated palate. Deep. Coating tannins with some pepper spice. Patience required, but oh the reward. Waters Wine Co
Grapes were sourced from 70+ year old vines at Adrian Hoffmann’s vineyard at Ebenezer in the northern end of the Barossa Valley. After fermentation in small parcels the wine was matured in 50% new French oak for 18 months prior to bottling. Deep intense ruby red in colour. Savoury fruit with ripe berry fruits overlaying spicy oak characters. The fruit is long and balanced for ease of drinking when young and as a mature wine.
