High-toned bouquet of raspberry, dark cherry, blueberry, blackcurrant, nutmeg, cola and black olive. Terrific energy on the palate, vibrant and extremely complex with notes of lavender, fennel, campfire and olive to add to the fruit. There’s a strong drive of acidity and melting, luxurious tannins. Will be extremely long lived. Classic expression of Barossa Shiraz. Waters Wine Co
Grapes were sourced from Adrian Hoffmann’s vineyard at Ebenezer in the northern end of the Barossa Valley. After fermentation in small parcels the wine was matured in 50% new French oak for 18 months prior to bottling. The colour is rich and deep with purple tones. The flavours are concentrated but with a finesse and poise and associate with old vine Barossa shiraz.
