Fragrant and rich from a dry year. Savory black fruits, hoisin and dusty white pepper, rich and creamy front and mid pallet with a powdery and persistent back pallet. Wonderfully raw and youthful. Will develop exceptionally well in the medium term. Decanting recommended.
Hurray for Syrah. Doesn’t this wine put on a show? It’s alive with licoricey, floral, dark cherried flavour; it leaps from the glass, eager to please. Lots of aroma too. Nutty, malty oak also plays a key role without overstepping the mark. It will no doubt age but it’s beautiful to drink as a young wine. 95 Points – Campbell Mattinson, Halliday Wine Companion 2021
