Good chianti can be hard to find, often light and raw or over oaked and bigger than a Barossa shiraz. Isole e Olena’s Chianti are none of those things! Crimson in colour with sour cherry and bramble notes. The palate has a subtle, lithe character full of perfumed fruit and is given depth by a mineral vein. Great structure from the taut acidity and tannin. Waters Wine Co
Just mid crimson. Finely fragrant, sweet raspberry nose. Beautiful precision on the palate with crushed-raspberry fruit and polished, fine tannins. 17.5/20 Points Walter Speller, Jancisrobinson.com
Lots of ripe fruit flavors with orange peel and stony minerality. Medium- to full-bodied with an array of round, velvety tannins. Even and broad with a lingering finish. Very attractive. 93 Points Jamessuckling.com

The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino lifts up with a pretty herbal and floral display, gaining richness with time in the glass, as wild strawberries and brown spice come forward with hints of white pepper and smoke. It boasts silky textures over a medium-bodied frame, with masses of ripe red and black berries contrasted by salty […]

Wild fermented naturally with a high portion of whole-bunches and matured in older French oak (no new barrels were used this year). The wine spent six months resting […]
Add to cartWhen bushfire smoke destroys your 2020 harvest, you call upon friends for help. The 2019 Chianti is produced from wine sourced from a long time friend in Tuscany. Made from Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo and aged in large wooden casks – in nearly every respect the same as our typical Fighting Gully Road Sangiovese is […]
Add to cartAll of Badia a Coltibuono’s Chiantis share the same DNA and it is evident throughout all the wines. Classic, poised and balanced. Certainly the softest, plumpest and fruit driven of the three releases, with less tertiary elements. Red fruits, dried flowers, tobacco and the lovely skinsy Sangiovese tannins that hold it all together. Perfect bistro/restaurant […]
