Carbonic maceration, 30% whole bunch ferment. Highly aromatic, bright, jubey and savoury with a powder tannin structure. Delicious.
On the one hand it’s bright and juicy, on the other it’s dry and complex. This is a seriously good sangiovese. Cherried, earthen, woodsy and drifted with smoke, in a positive way. A touch floral too, with cedar wood and briary herb notes over the top. An assertive-but-appropriate frame of tannin on the finish seals the deal and then some. 95 Points – Campbell Mattinson, Halliday Wine Companion 2021
