Bright red fruits but with traces of dusty earthiness. A lick of sappy acidity and chalky tannin make it terrific with a wide range of foods. As always, this wine is outstanding value.
Il Corzanello is named after the medieval, fortified farmhouse on the property. This is Corzano’s entry-level red – a Toscana Rosso (IGT). A hand-harvested blend of roughly 20% Sangiovese, 35% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety is vinified separately before blending. The fruit is given a pre-fermentation cold soak for six days before the wine ferments naturally in stainless steel.
