Bright red fruits of cherries and currants with traces of dusty earthiness. As always, this wine is outstanding value. Il Corzanello is named after the medieval, fortified farmhouse on the property. This is Corzano’s entry-level red – a Toscana Rosso (IGT). A hand-harvested blend of roughly 65% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety is vinified separately before blending. The fruit is given a pre-fermentation cold soak for six days before the wine ferments naturally in stainless steel.
